Complicated
I wish I could decisively say what kind of blog this is, or what kind of blog I want this to become. But to be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I just want somewhere to record all my thoughts on life and the ways I enjoy it and the things I believe I can do to make it better on a personal level and maybe even on a greater level than that. I have a kind of back story to this all, and I hope that explains the philosophy of this blog, and what I want it to achieve.
A story
So here is part 1 of what this blog is for: release. I like to talk, and I like to hear what others have to say as well. I think a lot about issues I have faced and realise that so many other people have too, yet ironically they are developed by our own society. So I want to talk about that, I want to explore that a bit more: the issues life throws at us, particularly at young people and young girls, why they arise and what we can do to overcome them. I like thinking about that, so I thought I may as well think out loud.
This sort of leads me on to part 2. Having had a loooot of ups and downs in my life, particularly in this last year as I moved away from home for the first time, I spent huge amounts of time thinking and talking and googling and reading about ways I could improve my life. I have done my fair share of experimenting. And I have slowly but surely found a lot of ways to inject positivity into my life, to make the downs go up a bit more. I want to share those, and explore them further, and enter a world where I can open my eyes to more peaceful ways of living.
There are changes I have made to my life, and I just want to see how they go, and I want to share them. So here is what to expect: deep posts about thoughts I have on the world. Posts about experiences I have enjoyed, big and small. A bit of diet and fitness related chatter, thinking about how these things can make you happy and healthy ("weight" is not a word I'll be using in those posts). Recipes - I loooove recipes - particularly those that are quick and cheap and easy for students. Chats about veganism, as this is one of my current experiments which is going very well. Perhaps some exercise tips, both physical and mental, thinking only about happiness and healthiness in those posts. Chats about books and films and things that are making me happy. And just general posts about how to be more positive on a daily basis. Expect lots of chat about the little things, and hopefully some little pockets of wisdom too. I hope you enjoy.
